How does the fund counter the effects of inflation?
From its inception the Fund’s until the year 1999 that the Trustees recognized that the Fund’s investment portfolio was inadequate as such felt that the investments should be spread in order to increase income while at the same time protecting the Fund. It was resolved therefore that the Fund should Invest in properties as a hedge against inflation since the Fund had never invested in properties.
CIPF Centre Bulawayo
Formely Bradlows Building, the property was purchased in Bulawayo. The 1st phase of refurbishment was completed in July 2001 and 2nd phase started in 2001 and completed July 2001.
Pockets Building
A six storey building was purchased by CIPF from DON Chemicals in June 2004.Situated along J. Moyo Avenue in the Harare CBD and provides for shops and offices.
Ruwa Shopping Complex
Land was purchased at Ruwa to build a Shopping Complex and the construction was started in October 1999 and was completed in the year 2001.
Khami Rd Industrial Park
THE CIPF Khami Road property is an industrial complex situated along Khami Road. Purchased in December 2003, the building is currently undergoing repairs to roofs and gutters and is in a fair state of maintenance
Liverpool Industrial Complex
Liverpool Industrial Complex situated Belmont Bulawayo . The property was purchased in February 2016.
